FREE iPHONE CASE
Hey everybody, I just quickly wanted to put this post up. My friend Yy from Life Through A Number Of Lenses needs your help.
I wish I could help her out by doing a review, but seeing as my phone is ancient, no case made in this century will actually fit it, and if you see my cell, you'll know what i'm talking about, after you stop laughing of course :D
On to the point!!!
She has started her own brand YY Kawaii and is looking for fellow bloggers to review her product.
Currently she's making iphone cases, and on her site she has a really cute one with pearls and a bow so if you're not into hello kitty, do not fret because there are other styles to choose from.
DO YOU WANT TO REVIEW A PHONE CASE AND DO A FEATURE ON YOUR BLOG??
You will get a free phone case and a link to your blog on Yy's blog.
If you are interested or know of anyone who maybe, please contact YyEmail: - yykawaii@hotmail.co.uk

model citizen
"The 24-year-old Aussie has made her mark because of her innocent, child-like appearance."
"There's a real trend for this doll-like look, a childish look, with a look of knowing behind it. It reflects childishness as well in fashion. The sex thing has had its day. Fashion is now reverting to all kinds of shorts and patchwork, playsuits and really bright color." ~Tatler Fashion Editor Anne Bromilow
Gemma Ward was born November 3, 1987, in Perth, Australia. Despite her ravishing looks, the golden-haired green-eyed beauty never set out to be a fashion model. In fact, she was discovered by accident when she attended a taping of the Australian television show, Search for a Supermodel in 2002. As she recalls, “I came to watch my friends. I was sitting there in the crowd when the agent from Perth came over. I didn't even want to enter, it was a bit of chance. I was so shocked when I got my first job.” source
Also watch out for the release of "The Great Gatsby" which is to be out in theatres around December 2012, where we'll get to see Gemma Ward alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.

Actually I can't wait to see this because I remember writing high school papers on this book and I'm also a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio.
Let me know your thoughts...do you like Gemma Ward's look? Do you agree with Anne Bromilow? Will you be going to see "The Great Gatsby"?

Jennifer Lawrence in Prabal Gurung gold gown for the Hunger Games Premiere ~DOESN'T SHE LOOK AMAZING? |
I've been hearing so much about the Hunger Games, and knew absolutely nothing about it so I googled it and thought I'd share what I found, not to mention share how absolutely gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence looked for the premiere of the movie. She looked like an ethereal phoenix goddess, I really don't know how to describe her, except breathtaking!!!
Here's the background info
The Hunger Games is a young adult novel written by Suzanne Collins. It is written in first person and introduces sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen who lives in a post-apocalyptic world in the country of Panem where the countries of North America once existed. The Capitol, a highly advanced metropolis, holds absolute power over the rest of the nation. The Hunger Games are an annual event in which one boy and one girl aged 12 to 18 from each of the 12 districts surrounding the Capitol are selected by lottery to compete in a televised battle in which only one person can survive.
The Hunger Games is the first novel in The Hunger Games trilogy, followed by Catching Fire, and Mockingjay.
A film adaptation, co-written and co-produced by Collins herself and directed by Gary Ross, will be released worldwide on March 23, 2012. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, and Liam Hemsworth as Gale.
Inspiration and origins
Collins says that the inspiration to write The Hunger Games came from channel surfing on television. On one channel she observed people competing on a reality show and on another she saw footage of the invasion of Iraq. The two "began to blur in this very unsettling way" and the idea for the book was formed. The Greek myth of Theseus served as basis for the story, with Collins describing Katniss as a futuristic Theseus, and that Roman gladiatorial games formed the framework. The sense of loss that Collins developed through her father's service in the Vietnam War also affected the story, whose heroine lost her father at age eleven, five years before the story begins. Collins stated that the deaths of the young characters and other "dark passages" were the hardest parts of the book to write, but she had accepted she would be writing such scenes. She considered the moments where Katniss reflects on happier moments in her past to be the more enjoyable passages to write.

FEED your BRAIN
OK, I'm not going to lie, this book is not going to be for everyone. It's been about a year since I read this novel, and i feel the need to feature it, because it changed my view on many things in life. This novel is not just the story of the genocide in Rwanda where over 1,000,000 people died in 100 days, no this is a much deeper story, it's about how the people of Rwanda are picking up the pieces of their lives, learning how to live with their families murderers, and overall a story about forgiveness. Reading this book was not an easy task, and trying to read through hazy teary eyes was even harder, but I am glad that I took the time to do it. It changed my outlook on forgiveness...many times I would find it hard to forgive someone for something as simple as talking behind my back or just being rude to me...I learned that forgiveness is important, not only for that person but for yourself, so that you can move on and have inner peace. Catherine Claire Larson interviews, I believe 6 people and follows their journey, one being Chantal, whose family is brutally murdered. She ends up forgiving her neighbor for the heinous crimes, This novel really made me think..."Who am I, NOT to forgive?" and helped me to be more grateful for the life I live. I hope you can take the time to read As We Forgive...I got this book from my local library, so maybe check out yours.
xoxoChiika
