rev your engine!

hey my lovelies just wanted to share a recipe for one of my favorite breakfast meals....afterall it is the most important meal of the day!   You can prepare it the night before for an easy grab-n-go breakfast.  It's packed with protein, vitamins and minerals, to rev your engine all morning long :)

Breakfast Protein Parfait
(1 Serving)
Here's what you need:
6oz Greek yogurt, plain, fat free
1/4 cup low fat cottage cheese
1 scoop high quality strawberry or vanilla protein powder
1/4 cup fresh berries
1 tbsp. pecan pieces, toasted
  1. In a small bowl use a whisk to combine the yogurt, cottage cheese and protein powder. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Place half of the yogurt mixture into a clear cup, top with the berries and then the remaining yogurt mixture. Top with pecans.

what to eat?


What to eat?
If you're ever in Greece you have to try the pizza (πίτσα) and the bougatsa (μπουγάτσα).
Oh my god!!! The bougaaaaaaatsa, my favourite.  Usually only available in the morning to afternoon, because bougatsa is usually eaten as breakfast. Its a flaky pastry and you can ask for different fillings.
Spinach, which is called spanakopita.
Meat, which is kreatopita.
Feta, which is called tiropita.
And my personal favourite custard, which is called kremopita. Usually this one comes with icing sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top.
